Ivy Tech Community College-Indianapolis hosted its annual Community Celebration on Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2023. The event featured a special program highlighting the campus' new holistic program aimed at helping justice-involved individuals, "ELEVATE: Changes Starts Here."
The program included a Community Panel in which our very own Michael Martin Drain, Director of ELEVATE, served as the moderator. The panel was comprised of Dr. Kristen Dauss, Chief Medical Officer at the Indiana Department of Correction; Ryan Mears, Marion County Prosecutor; Marissa Miller, Founder and Executive Director of Trans Solutions Resource and Research; Larry Smith, President and CEO of Fathers and Families Center; and Rev. Michael Wolley Sr., the Faith-based Coordinator at the Marion County Sheriff Department.
The annual event perfectly coincided with Ivy Tech's 60th Anniversary. Hence, the Indianapolis campus continued the celebration in its Ballroom, where friends, family, staff, faculty, students, stakeholders, partners, and political leaders came together to rejoice in what the College has accomplished thus far.
Here's to the next 60 years of creating pathways to higher education!
