Congressman Carson to Host Annual Job & Resource Fair
INDIANAPOLIS—On Tuesday, August 8, Congressman André Carson (IN-07) will hold his annual Indianapolis Job and Resource Fair with Ivy Tech Community College. For over a decade, this event has connected hardworking Hoosiers with quality employers in Central Indiana.
“The U.S. has experienced record job growth over the last two years, and I’m making sure Indianapolis residents take advantage of that growth,” said Congressman Carson. “With over 90 vendors, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a first-time job or a better job. Everyone deserves meaningful, good-paying employment – and I’ll keep fighting for the middle class by creating jobs, lowering costs, and bring inflation down.”
Since 2021, over 13.4 million new jobs have been created thanks to investments in manufacturing, infrastructure, and clean energy, as well as a focus on educating and training workers and promoting a level playing field for small businesses. Job creation has exceeded pre-pandemic levels, and Indiana and the United States are experiencing the lowest unemployment rates in decades. Congressman Carson continues to support fair wages, unions, and other measures that empower and strengthen the middle class.
