Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne and Warsaw has received $16,821 to support students and programs from Circle of Ivy, the Ivy Tech Foundation’s women’s philanthropy group. The funds were distributed to support $6,500 in requested projects.
“Our students continue to receive significant benefits thanks to the support of Circle of Ivy,” says Dr. Kim Barnett-Johnson, Chancellor of Ivy Tech Fort Wayne/Warsaw. “Because of the group’s generosity, we’re able to offer study abroad opportunities, access to emergency aid, and free holiday meals. Resources like these give our students experiences and aid that they may not have gotten otherwise.”
This year, Ivy Tech Fort Wayne is funding four projects:
- Transportation Resources (Bus Passes) | $1,000
- Dominican Republic Service Project | $1,000
- EMT and Paramedic Fees | $1,000
- Aspiring Educators Club Support | $800
Ivy Tech Warsaw is supporting two projects:
- Mental Health and Wellness | $2,000
- Thanksgiving Dinner in a Box | $1,000
