Ivy Tech Bloomington names executive director for Corporate College, Dennis Maloy

BLOOMINGTON – Ivy Tech Community College’s Bloomington campus has named an executive director for its newly named Corporate College, Dennis Maloy. Maloy comes to Corporate College Bloomington from the Hancock County Economic Council where he served as executive director. Before that, Maloy served as project manager for the Dayton Development Project, as vice president of corporate relations for the Hamilton County Alliance, and as legislative director for the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns.

“I want to welcome Dennis to Corporate College at Ivy Tech Bloomington. We look forward to his service,” said John Whikehart of Ivy Tech’s Bloomington campus. “With his extensive experience in corporate relations, project management and economic development, Dennis has prepared an impressive plan to engage stakeholders in Ivy Tech Bloomington’s six county service area.”

Corporate College at Ivy Tech is focused on developing, introducing and delivering training, certifications, and skills-improvement courses that business leaders have survey-highlighted as essential to their sustainability and profitability.

“I look forward to beginning implementation of Corporate College Bloomington’s plan, which engages stakeholders through regular interaction with state, regional and local economic development organizations, as well as elected officials and others,” Maloy said. “The Ivy Tech Corporate College office in Bloomington will achieve its goals through an aggressive program of relationship management and the development of industry specific programming.”

Ivy Tech Corporate College was launched in fall 2011 to provide expanded business solutions for companies looking to provide training for their employees. For the past 30 years, the College provided training services to local employers through its previously-known office of Workforce and Economic Development, and its predecessor Business and Industry Training.
