TERRE HAUTE, Ind. Ivy Tech Community College Terre Haute is pleased to announce the appointment of Robertha “Ro” Miller, GE Aerospace Executive Plant Leader, to the Campus Board of Trustees. With more than 20 years of experience across the global supply chain and industrial sectors, Miller brings a strong workforce-focused perspective and a deep understanding of industry needs that align closely with Ivy Tech’s mission of preparing students for high-demand careers.
“I am honored to join the Ivy Tech Terre Haute Campus Board of Trustees and to support an institution that plays such a critical role in developing Indiana’s workforce,” said Miller. “Ivy Tech serves as a vital bridge between education and industry, and I look forward to working alongside campus and community leaders to help expand opportunities for students and strengthen pathways into meaningful careers.”
In her role at GE Aerospace, Miller provides executive leadership within a complex manufacturing environment, overseeing operations that require strategic planning, collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Her extensive background in global supply chain management and industrial operations offers valuable insight as Ivy Tech continues to align academic programs with regional and statewide workforce demands.
GE Aerospace has built a strong and growing partnership with Ivy Tech in recent years. In October 2022, the company collaborated with the College to launch an apprenticeship program that has served eight students in the region to date, with three apprentices currently completing their technical certificates in Machine Tool Technology. Since 2023, GE Aerospace has also supported skill-based academic competitions for high school students, including serving as the title sponsor of the 2026 Cob & Cog competition on October 2, 2026. Additionally, the GE Foundation awarded Ivy Tech Terre Haute a $100,000 grant in 2024 to help grow enrollment and enhance student success in advanced manufacturing programs.
Miller’s appointment reflects Ivy Tech Terre Haute’s ongoing commitment to engaging industry leaders who can help guide the College’s strategic direction and ensure students are equipped with the skills employers need today and in the future.
“Ro Miller’s leadership experience and industry expertise make her an outstanding addition to our Campus Board of Trustees,” said Lea Anne Crooks, Ph.D., chancellor of Ivy Tech Terre Haute. “Her perspective will help deepen employer partnerships and support student success across our region.”
Miller joins an exceptional group of community and industry leaders on the Ivy Tech Terre Haute Campus Board of Trustees.
