INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – June 13, 2024 – Ivy Tech Indianapolis is thrilled to announce the launch of its Alumni Chef Summer Lunch Series at Courses Restaurant, located in the Conference Center and Culinary Institute building on campus (2820 N. Meridian, Indianapolis, IN 46208). This special series will feature a lineup of talented alumni chefs who will take over the kitchen and create unique, mouth-watering menus for a delightful summer dining experience.

Each lunch will be a showcase of the chefs' creativity and culinary expertise, offering guests an exclusive opportunity to enjoy a meal crafted by some of the finest talents to emerge from Ivy Tech’s culinary program. Seating for the event will be available from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing guests to savor a leisurely lunch while supporting our alumni executive chefs and culinary arts students – the next generation of culinary professionals.

o Appetizers: Stuffed Chilaquiles with Jalapeno Slaw, Sopes with Rajas con Crema and Wild Mushrooms

o Entrees: Pollo Adobado, Chipotle and Lime Rubbed Sea Bass, Repollo Guisado

o Desserts: Strawberry Crunch Tres Leches, Mango Sorbet

 

  • Thursday, July 18: Chef Regina Mehallick (former owner of R Bistro on Mass Ave. and R To Go on College Ave.) and David Edison

David is a culinary graduate of the Ivy Tech Indianapolis Culinary Arts program.  He is now a teacher and recently received the "Golden Apple" award from WISH-TV.  After David graduated he went to IUPUI for a degree in Education and has been fulfilling his life-long dream of being a teacher in the same school district he went to.
