Welcome to a new chapter of Ivy Indy Magazine!

With the fifth edition, we launch an interactive, digital home for some of the most compelling stories from Ivy Tech Indianapolis.

Released annually, the campus magazine is designed to help you easily connect, learn from faculty, hear powerful alumni stories, celebrate donors making a difference in our community, and reflect on the milestones and momentum of the year behind us.

This edition also introduces you to the students and graduates who are proudly part of The Toolbelt Generation—a wave of learners finding purpose, pride, and prosperity in hands-on skilled trades. Inside, you’ll meet a Boone County bakery owner who has mentored and hired nearly 15 Ivy Tech culinary graduates, giving them fulfilling careers in the heart of downtown Zionsville; learn about the campus’ first-ever Don Weathersbe Award recipient; and discover how real-world learning is translating directly into workforce impact across Central Indiana.

We Are The Builders. From the cover story to the classrooms, labs, kitchens, and community partnerships featured throughout this issue, that theme runs deep in Ivy Indy Magazine V. It reflects a campus in motion—one investing in people, embracing innovation, and reimagining what education looks like when it is deeply connected to industry, community, and student success.

That sense of momentum extends beyond these pages.

As Ivy Tech Indianapolis continues its era of transformation, this magazine remains a space to tell the stories that define who we are: builders of opportunity, pathways, and futures—powered by experiential learning and driven by purpose.

We’re glad you’re here and invite you to explore, engage, subscribe, and help shape what comes next.
