Ivy Tech Community College, the Elmer Buchta Technology Center, and the Pike County Economic Development Corporation are partnering to offer a four-week AI Skills Accelerator.

The program will be offered on Wednesdays, July 8-29, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. EST. It is open to high school-aged students through adults and is $50 per person. The Elmer Buchta Technology Center is located at 3401 IN-61, Petersburgh, IN 47567.

These classes will help participants build a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence, explore practical tools and learn how to use AI responsibly in work, school, and everyday life. Goals of the camp are to help students learn the following:

    • Generative AI, Computer Vision, AI Agents, etc.
    • Use AI tools for brainstorming, research support, image/media creation, planning
    • Evaluate AI output for accuracy, bias, and quality outputs
    • Recognize AI-generated or altered content
    • Develop Prompt Library

 

Those students completing the course will earn an Ivy Tech Certificate of Completion.
