Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington, in partnership with the Department of the Air Force (DAF), is offering a new one-course pathway that introduces students to military life and prepares them for enlisted service. The 8-week Homeland Security / Public Safety DAF Enlisted Training Corps course begins March 16, 2026 and will be held virtually, two days per week in the evenings.
The course is open to anyone exploring a career in public service.
Students will learn what it means to serve in the U.S. Air Force. They will also learn more about opportunities military service provides for personal growth, career growth, and higher education.
Some benefits to successfully completing the course include preferred job placement, credits that count toward Air Force ROTC training, and an opportunity for advanced enlisted rank.
Course credits count toward an associate degree in homeland security and public safety or general studies.
