Ivy Tech Community College’s Bloomington campus is hosting Super Science Saturday this weekend, on November 15, at the Indiana Center for the Life Sciences. Families are invited to drop in from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for fun, free, hands-on science activities for grades K-12.
Amongst the 25 booths of hands-on science fun, families and students can learn how centrifuges work, build a clock, make ice cream, make snow, examine animal tracks, make “elephant toothpaste,” study genetic engineering, and enjoy many other science-based activities.
Last year, more than 200 children attended the event with their families.
The Indiana Center for the Life Sciences is located at 501 N. Profile Parkway in Bloomington. Additional parking will be available at 200 Daniels Way, at Ivy Tech’s Ferguson Academic Building. A shuttle to transport attendees will run between the two buildings.
