Ivy Tech Evansville seeks an Academic Advisor to provide developmental academic advising for new and continuing students using a case management approach. This role will assist students in defining personal and academic career goals, interpreting and understanding placement scores, program curriculum and pre-requisites, and developing basic skills to register for courses, as appropriate. The Academic Advisor will refer students to appropriate internal and external resources that foster student success.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong commitment to student development and success through advocacy, positive attitude, adaptability, approachability, problem solving, and support.
  • Demonstrate developmental academic advising that assists students in clarifying personal and academic career goals through the use of appropriate student development, human development, and student learning theories.
  • Assist students in interpreting and understanding placement scores, program curricula, and pre-requisites, etc.
  • Assist students in gaining a basic understanding of the College's registration process and processes that need to be completed prior to the beginning of each semester.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the institution's academic programs, curriculum, practices and academic and student policies.
  • Coordinate with other Student Affairs and Academic Affairs areas to ensure accuracy of advising materials distributed to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Manage academic advising case load in a manner that promotes retention, persistence, and student success through proactive interactions and interventions.

This role supports campus financial operations, ensures procurement and grant compliance, and partners with departments to maintain accurate and transparent budgets. This position reports to the Vice Chancellor of Administration, works closely with the Business Office Manager, and serves as the finance grant designee for the Evansville Campus.Major Responsibilities:    

·        Ensure proper classification of procurement transactions and coordinate necessary adjustments with departments.

·        Assist with preparing monthly financial reports and distributing monthly reports to department managers.

·        Assist with the development of the campus’s annual budget and support staff in preparing budgets and budget justifications for new proposals.

·        Serve as the campus lead for compliance on purchasing, travel expenses, employee expense reports, and grants.

The Director of Development will be an integral member of the Evansville campus development team, reporting to the Executive Director of Resource Development and is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive set of strategies to convert prospects into donors and to encourage continued and increased giving by current donors to meet the strategic goals of the institution.

Essential Responsibilities

·       Solicit individuals, corporations, foundations, and organizations for annual, major (up to $100,000 and greater when appropriate), and planned gifts towards annually determined goals to meet the strategic priorities of the campus and College.

·       Coordinate and execute the advancement of relationships with prospective donors through appropriate stages of the donor cycle (identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship) to support giving aligned with the strategic plan and funding priorities.

·       Identify new prospective donors with interests aligned with the campus’s needs.

·       Self-motivated to manage donor portfolio.

Reporting to the Executive Director of IT Operations, the IT Director will lead the technical team responsible for delivering high-quality IT services across the organization. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service excellence and active participation in budgeting, capital planning, and quality improvement initiatives. The IT Director will ensure projects and programs are completed on time and aligned with organizational goals, while implementing and upholding college-wide technology policies, objectives, and standards.

This is a 100% onsite position based on the main campus in Evansville, covering all primary buildings at that location. The role also supports one additional site in Tell City, which is 60 miles away, with travel required on demand when in-person technical work is necessary. Daily reporting is to the main Evansville campus, where the majority of duties are performed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategically oversee and support all facets of IT operations and service delivery within the assigned service area, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Provide expert technical consultation on technology services outside the scope of OIT, engaging IT support staff as needed to enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborate proactively with campus leadership to strengthen IT service delivery; act as the primary liaison between campus leadership and OIT.
  • Foster and sustain a culture of customer service excellence across all IT functions.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field

  • Three to five years’ supervisory experience supporting IT environments, including but not limited to management of a team, hardware asset management, budget management, configuration management, and software distribution.
