What is Total cost of attendance?
Total cost of attendance is a college's total estimated expenses for one year. It consists of the following base components: tuition and fees, books and supplies, transportation, room and board, and personal expenses. This figure is what the Financial Aid office uses to process your aid eligibility and award package. Your financial aid cannot exceed your cost of attendance.
Below are estimated costs of attendance for the 2022-23 academic year for Ivy Tech Community College undergraduate students. These costs are based on full-time enrollment for the fall and spring semesters.
Total Cost of Attendance for Standard Programs
Indiana Residents |
Out-of-State Residents |
|
Tuition | $4,488 | $8,778 |
Technology Fee | $150 | $150 |
Books and Supplies* | $934 | $934 |

Transportation | $2,000 | $2,000 |
Personal Expenses | $2,400 | $2,400 |
TOTAL COST | $18,932 | $23,222 |
FEES
Estimated Loan Fees should be added to the cost of attendance for semesters when students or parents accept direct loans. These are fees charged by your lender, not by Ivy Tech. Loan fees are subtracted from the loan before it is disbursed to you.
If assessed, the following fees will be added to the cost of attendance:
- Internet fee
- Nursing, Practical Nursing, Dental Hygiene program fee
- Paralegal program fee
- Radiation Therapy program fee
- Ivy Honors program fee
- Consumable fees for the following courses: AVIT 123, 124, 125, 205, 255, and 275; LOGM 102; MORT 220; AUBR 125
ADJUSTMENTS
- Adjustments may be made to the cost of attendance for students enrolled in certain programs or courses.*
- Cost of attendance estimates can vary depending on a student's living situation. For students who live with parents and do not have dependents themselves, a lower cost of attendance is estimated for room, board, and personal expenses. When estimating your cost of attendance, keep in mind that living expenses are estimated and would be incurred regardless of whether or not you're enrolled in college.
- Estimates can also vary depending on a student's enrollment status. The costs below are based on full-time enrollment for the fall and spring semesters. For estimates for other enrollment levels, contact your local bursar's office.
-
Senior Scholars is a special program that allows Indiana citizens 60 years of age or older to take credit courses at Ivy Tech tuition-free. Participants do have to meet certain additional requirements. See if You Qualify for Senior Scholars
