The Office of Workforce Alignment at Ivy Tech Community College Lafayette focuses on the training and professional development needs of Indiana’s business, industry, nonprofit, and government sectors to continuously move Indiana’s economy forward. Our team is prepared to conduct a thorough needs analysis for your organization and deliver a customized training solution to enhance the skill set of your workforce. Workforce Alignment also offers a variety of courses for individual professional development and certification. Our team serves Tippecanoe, Clinton, White, Newton, Jasper, Montgomery, Benton, Fountain, Carroll, and Warren Counties.

Ivy Tech Certificates and Technical Certificates
Education that Works for You
Workforce Alignment courses are open to anyone seeking both personal and professional development. Working adults have multiple demands on their time, and completing a college degree or certificate may not be something you can consider at this point. Our non-credit programs provide flexible options for you to take non-credit classes to advance job skills.
Non-Credit Courses
- ServSafe
The ServSafe program is the restaurant and food service industry's leading food safety training solution. It is designed to meet the requirements to pass the certification exam for food handlers.
Cost: $155 Non-Member and $145 Member

American Heart Association CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)
The CPR-BLS course is the required certification course for healthcare workers, first responders, students, and employees. The course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, perform effective CPR, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED.

CDL-Truck Driving School
The trucking industry needs more than 400,000 new drivers every year. If you’re looking for an in-demand and financially rewarding career, consider CDL Training at Ivy Tech Community College.

Next Level Jobs/Workforce Ready Grant
The Workforce Ready Grant pays for all tuition and regularly assessed fees for qualifying high-value certificates at any eligible training provider. To qualify, recipients must:
- Be an Indiana resident and a U.S. citizen (or eligible non-citizen)
- Have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- Enroll in in any qualifying training program at an eligible training provider
- Meet any additional requirements for certain training providers and programs

Ivy Tech Certificate & Technical Certificates
Ivy Tech offer courses that provide college credit toward an Ivy Tech certificate or technical certificate and tuition can be covered by Next Level Jobs funding provided by the State of Indiana. You have the opportunity to gain skills, training, and experience that will increase your employment opportunities. The Next Level Jobs training grants could provide full tuition reimbursement. Workforce Education
Do you have specific training needs for your business? Our team provides a variety of services which include customized training, onboarding training, certificate training, technical certificates, and curriculum for apprenticeships and workshops.
We are proud of our partnerships with local and regional companies. We respond to our clients’ needs by creating programs for their high-demand industries and which in turn provides job training and increased skills for their employees.
The Workforce Alignment Department cultivates and actively works at building long-term partnerships with Chambers of Commerce, business and industry clients, state agencies, and 501(c)3 organizations.

The Workforce Alignment team will work with you to assess the learning needs of your employees and collaborate to prepare an instructional design and delivery strategy that meets your organization's continued education needs.
