When planning your retirement from the College, you may be eligible to continue your participation in the College’s medical and/or dental plan at the group rate. This is a one-time opportunity. If you choose to decline coverage at this time, you will be unable to re-enroll at a later date. Vision, Identity Theft, Life Insurance, and other voluntary coverage may be continued with the appropriate vendor. A separate form will be given to you to complete for continuation of each of these insurance products. Billing for these products will be sent to you directly from the carrier.
Depending on your age and length of continuous benefits-eligible service with the College. The College has two retirement programs that you may qualify for, the Regular Retiree Program and the 75 Plan. The eligibility for each program is listed below. If you are between the ages of 55 and 65 AND have ten years of continuous benefits-eligible service with the College
If you are 65 or older AND have five years of continuous benefits-eligible service with the College
Available to full-time, benefits-eligible employees continuously employed in a full-time, benefits-eligible position on or before December 31, 2008.
If you are between the ages of 55 and 65
Your age combined with your continuous benefits-eligible years of service equal at least 75
