The Boston Mutual benefit plans can help you protect you and your family’s income when you need it most. Coverage through Boston Mutual is being offered Guaranteed Issue for newly hired employees (some pre-existing condition limitations may apply).
Premiums are 100% employee paid. Full Time employees will have the premiums deducted through payroll deductions on an after-tax basis. Part time employees and Adjunct Faculty will pay premiums directly to Boston Mutual via Electronic Funds Transfer.

Employee Life Options Plus (Whole Life)
The Employee Life Option Plus is more than just life insurance at an affordable price. It combines the guaranteed premiums, coverage and values that have always been so attractive in whole life insurance with the advantages of cash accumulation at current interest rates. This coverage is an endowment at 95 life insurance policy with coverage to age 95.
You can purchase the Catastrophic Loss rider as long as you are eligible and apply for the ELOP Life insurance policy this rider will be attached to. Boston Mutual’s Catastrophic Loss coverage is designed to help provide financial assistance should you lose (either temporarily or permanently), the ability to care for yourself. There is no requirement that you be confined in a Nursing Home, Assisted Living Facility or receiving Home Health Care!
This Critical Illness benefit provides a lump sum benefit if you are diagnosed with one of the covered illnesses. Covered illnesses include cancer, heart attack, kidney failure, major organ transplant, and others. The policy includes an Additional Occurrence Benefit as well as a Re-Occurrence Benefit.
Group Accident Coverage complements your medical coverage by providing you with a benefit payment for covered medical services once your coverage is effective. This payment can be used as you see fit, especially to help with the out of pocket expenses you may incur as a result of an accident. Accident insurance can provide benefits for covered accidents that occur off the job.
