You will also have the opportunity to register to vote! All Constitution Day activities will be held in the 1st Floor Rotunda from 9am-4pm.

On Thursday, September 17th, the campus community is invited to join in celebrating Constitution Day in Poling Hall from 10am-2pm. Constitution Day, a display of a copy of the original Constitution will be in the Student Commons, and free copies of the Constitution will be handed out in the Student Commons from 8am-5pm. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day as well. Voter registration information will also be available. The movie A More Perfect Union will be shown in room 217 at 12pm. The film depicts events surrounding creation of the United States Constitution, focusing mainly on James Madison, the person who wrote most of that document.

Do you have an idea for a project, activity or event focused on the theme “How you can best serve your Country on your campus or in the Community?” If so, submit a proposal. All proposals will be reviewed by Student Life Staff, and one project will be selected to represent the Northwest Region. That team will receive $500 to execute their project during the fall semester. Proposals should be between 2-3 pages in length and include a budget sheet. Write a description of your project, event, workshop, etc. Go into detail of what you intend to do and how you will do it. Who will be involved? Dates, times, and location where it will take place. The proposal form will be released on Ivy Life on September 17th and are due on October 2nd.
