Director of Quality Improvement

The Director will provide support to the Assistant Vice President for Nursing (AVPN) for maintaining accreditation and regulatory standards within the School of Nursing. Manages data collection, analysis, and reporting necessary to ensure consistent adherence to the Systematic Plan of Evaluation (SPE) and to assist in implementation and monitoring of quality improvement and interprofessional education initiatives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with AVPN and nursing faculty to coordinate, develop, and monitor the Systematic Plan of Evaluation and continuous quality improvement.

  • Participates in and serves as a resource to the Nursing Executive Council, Nursing Curriculum Committee, and other committee groups as assigned or appointed, and provides ongoing oversight of quality improvement initiatives.

  • Provides oversight of initiatives related to regulatory and accreditation agencies.

  • Maintains and monitors data related to regulatory and accreditation standards.

  • Maintains ongoing communication, collaboration, and education of deans, chairs, faculty, administrators, and staff regarding systematic evaluation and quality improvement plans and initiatives.

  • Oversees all aspects of data collection and reporting and provides and distributes data for policy decision making and continuous quality improvement (CQI).

  • Reviews, assists in development of, and monitors campus program Quality Improvement Plans and planning for program accreditation in conjunction with deans, chairs, administrators, faculty, and staff from campuses/service areas to meet established benchmarks.

  • Works cooperatively with Decision Support, OIT, College Registrar, and nursing deans/chairs to develop data collection tools and data reports that support ongoing quality improvement initiatives for nursing purposes.

  • Collaborates with college administration, Grants Office staff, AVPN, deans, and college partners to provide data in support of simulation and interprofessional education initiatives.

SALARY RANGE: $80,000-90,000

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • A Master's degree in Nursing or Informatics is required.

  • A Doctoral degree is preferred.

  • Experience in post-secondary nursing education preferred; and experience with nursing program state and national accreditation preferred.

  • Experience with grant development is preferred. 

  • Must possess strong statistical/analytic skills and understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required. 

  • Must have experience in the use of Windows-based software (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) or equivalent.

  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel (up to 40% in-state travel required; some overnight).

Executive Director of Grants and Development

The Executive Director of Development and Grants provides leadership to advance Ivy Tech Foundation’s philanthropic goals through cultivation and stewardship of donors and the development of competitive grant proposals. This role is responsible for building and managing a portfolio of donors, corporations, and foundations; leading grant acquisition efforts; and collaborating to align funding opportunities with institutional priorities.

Salary Range for this position is $70,000-$75,000.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant Development & Management

  • Identify corporate and foundation grant opportunities that align with Ivy Tech’s priorities.
  • Lead the preparation, writing, and submission of competitive grant proposals.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators to develop strong grant applications.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements, reporting, and stewardship obligations.

Fundraising & Donor Relations

  • Manage a portfolio of donors contributing under $100,000 annually with a focus on cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Assist with the development of annual giving strategies to increase donor participation and retention.
  • Conduct outreach and maintain relationships with donors to strengthen engagement and philanthropic support.
  • Serve as an ambassador and spokesperson for the Foundation, which could include speaking at events, greeting guests, interacting with donors at dinners and receptions, providing campus tours to top donors, or being featured in various publications or marketing pieces.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with College Sponsored Programs Office to ensure grant submissions are aligned College policies.
  • Monitor overall grant program activities, progression, and implementation including timeline management, fund reports, and reporting requirements.

Administrative & Data Management Support

  • Ensure the integrity of donor and alumni data in the CRM (Ivy Connect Foundation)
  • Enter contact reports, proposals, donor contributions, and related information in ICF
  • Generate donor and stewardship reports for internal and external use.

Events / Marketing & Student/Alumni Engagement

  • Develop event communications plans in collaboration with campus marketing and ensure execution of plans.
  • Coordinate alumni fundraising and communications efforts, including oversight of the Student Alumni Council in partnership with development leadership, including Ivy Tech Day.
  • Assist with marketing and communication strategies for development initiatives.
  • Work with community partners to form mutually beneficial strategic alliances that support the mission of the college and the alumni association.

Program & Training Support
