· Create programming that may include, but is not limited to resume creation, creation of LinkedIn profile, mock interviews, employer engagement, and engage with CareerLink CRM to complete tracking requirements.

· Coordinate with other Student Affairs and Academic Affairs areas to ensure accuracy of advising materials distributed to students, faculty, and staff

· Manage academic advising case load in a manner that promotes retention, persistence, and student success through proactive interactions and interventions

I. INSTRUCTION

III. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 

1. Participate in professional development activities that may include scheduled training, time spent onsite in related business and industries, and self-study to advance instructional and technical skills as well as current knowledge within the field of study.

Pay: $47.35 per classroom hour

Major Responsibilities:

PROGRAM OPERATION:

  • Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.

  • Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements.

  • Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.

  • Submit requested information within established timelines.

STUDENTS:

  • Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions or provide assistance.

  • Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.

INSTRUCTION:

  • Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s).

  • Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.

  • In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.

  • Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.

  • Promote same as an integral part of one's work.

Requirements:

A qualified clinical education coordinator in the Physical Therapist Assistant program: 

  • Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution; and 

  • Completed academic preparation appropriate to the program; and 

  • Holds professional licensure or certification in the field; and 

  • Has a minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice of which two years of clinical practice experience must include experience as a CCCE or CI in physical therapy, or a minimum of two years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and administration in a PT or PTA program.

Adjunct Faculty - Software Development

Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives. 

  • Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.

  • Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.  Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.

  • Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular). 

  • Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations. 

  • Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs, and all learning environments.

Minimum Qualifications: Possesses an earned out-of-field bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:

  • Professional certification (national, regional or state) in the information technology field.

  • Four years of professional employment in the information technology field.

  • Documentation of research and publication in the field.

  • Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.

  • Conducts all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Python, CSS, HTML, and Visual Studio or VS Code preferred.

  • Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in software development, computer information systems, management information systems, information technology, computer science, or a computer related field as appropriate to the program; or

  • Possesses an earned related or out of field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in software development, computer information systems, management information systems, information technology, computer science, or a computer related field as appropriate to the program; or

  • Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:

- Professional certification (national, regional, or state)

- Two years of in-field professional employment

- Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award

- Documentation of research and publication in the field
