General Purpose and Scope of the position:

Serve as Administrative Assistant to the Site Manager of the Correction Facility Education Program. Serves as a receptionist in Ivy Tech’s office in the corrections facility. Handles essential reports, memos, and other information pertinent to the Coordinator of the Correction Facility Education Program as it relates to students.

This is a full-time hourly position located at the Heritage Trail Correctional Facility.

Major Responsibilities:

• Maintain respect at all times for confidential information.
• Perform required duties; answering the telephone expediting questions and requests in a courteous, tactful, prompt, and correct manner; greeting visitors.
• Type/key correspondence for the Site Manager of the Correction Facility Education Program.
• Maintain and distribute accurate memos.
• Effectively operates various office equipment.
• Prepare and maintain OIS files (student information, conduct reports, count letters) for the Site Manager of the Correction Facility Education Program.
• Prepare the monthly data reports and accompanying materials as required by the state
• Process incoming mail and distribute to staff.
• Assist in maintaining faculty application files, resignations, etc.
• Assist in maintaining the general office filing system – keep a daily log book (faculty issues, emergency counts, classes canceled, etc.).
• Complete reports in a timely manner as required by state and federal agencies along with those from Accrediting bodies
• Process DOC Referrals to place students in education (ABE, Vocational)
• Scan TABE tests and Practice HiSet Tests.
• Create passes or special count letters as directed by the Site Manager.
• Maintain Inters Program through data input documentation, attendance, etc.
• Change class rosters and time cuts as directed by the Site Manager.
• Maintain a current inventory of supplies and inform the Site Manager when items need to be purchased.
• Complete required DOC training, CBTS, and annual training as required by the facility.
• Provide training for offender education clerks, if allowed by the facility.
• Document work hours and Apprenticeship Information for offender clerks.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma; Punctual; good communication skills; experience with computer software applications; capable of handling detailed work; strong people skills; comfortable working within a correctional facility.

Data Analyst Intern

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

The Data Analysis Intern will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in data analysis and data governance within a fast-paced, collaborative work environment. Working alongside the Business Intelligence team, the intern will support reports and dashboards, respond to support requests, contribute to analytics projects, and assist with data governance initiatives. This role provides exposure to SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, and modern data management practices.

This is a hybrid position, with in-office expectations on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. Some flexibility for remote work is available.

  • Interpret data findings and present insights in a clear and concise manner through visualizations and reports using Tableau.

About the Role:
We are seeking an organized and service-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support the daily delivery of human resources services for the Indianapolis Campus. In this role, you will provide administrative and operational support across core HR functions, including employment authorization, onboarding, contingent hires, Federal Work-Study, records management, reporting, training coordination, and employee engagement and recognition initiatives.

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:

Under the direction of the IT Service Desk Director, the IT Service Desk candidate will provide remote technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff covering topics including but not limited to; account access issues (ie password resets, Microsoft Authenticator, bitlocker), email (Outlook/Exchange), learning management systems (Canvas), storage platforms (OneDrive, G Suite), Office 365; support of general hardware and software, printers, projectors, document cameras, scanners, and related IT equipment.     General Purpose and Scope of Position:

    The IvyRoots (Real-World Opportunities & On-the-Job Training for Students) Internship connects Ivy Tech students with local non-profit organizations to create meaningful change in our community.     These positions are part-time, temporary positions filled each semester on an as-needed basis. This position and the posting will stay open continuously in order to build a pool of qualified candidates for future openings as part-time assistants.
