The Accounts Clerk supports the combined Business and Bursar Office at the Sellersburg Campus. This position combines student account services with procurement and finance support, offering a diverse range of responsibilities. Serving as the primary point of contact for the office, this role is highly service-focused, managing all incoming calls, assisting students with account-related inquiries, and ensuring accurate payment processing. The position also collaborates with other campus departments and external vendors, supporting purchasing and compliance functions that keep campus operations running smoothly. Other duties as assigned to meet evolving campus needs. Responsibilities may shift during peak periods or as institutional priorities evolve. Due to the sensitive nature of student and vendor information, confidentiality and discretion are essential.

Hourly Range: $15-20 (based on education and experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the combined Business/Bursar Office, answering calls, assisting students, and welcoming students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors.
  • Assist students with tuition payments, refunds, payment plans, and account balances.
  • Process payments in Ivy Tech’s online systems (Banner and Workday); balance and reconcile the cash drawer daily.
  • Code student accounts accurately and maintain compliant records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve student accounts or process-related questions.
  • Review returned payments and stale refund checks and coordinate resolution with students.
  • Enter requisitions, track purchase orders, and process vendor invoices.
  • Work closely with Finance and Facilities teams to ensure timely and accurate purchasing.
  • Monitor and manage financial spreadsheets and projects, as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Office Assistant Director and Bursar Office Assistant Director with any special projects or tasks during their peak seasons.

Major Responsibilities:

Data Integrity & Reporting

GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION: The Career Coach provides coaching services to assist students in defining a career goal and utilizing the career development resources on campus to help them prepare for a successful transition into their chosen career upon completion of their chosen credential(s). Reports to the Executive Director of Student Life and Career Development and works collaboratively with the Ivy + Career Link Talent Connection Manager, Advisors, College Connection Coaches, and other faculty and staff to meet the career development needs of students and to support meeting or exceeding campus metrics.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coaches and tracks the progress of students in one-to-one and group coaching scenarios. Actions taken by students, under the guidance of the Career Coach, may include but are not limited to the student completing a career assessment, resume, LinkedIn profile, mock interviews, and employer engagement through different activities.
  • Partners with campus Talent Connection Manager, Admissions staff, Advisors, and other faculty and staff to provide pre-Ivy Tech and orientation experiences to support career and program selection.
  • Assists in efforts to build awareness of career coaching opportunities on campus and virtually. Partners with aligned campus stakeholders to promote a career development culture on the campus at large. Works collaboratively with cross-functional departments, including faculty, to deliver presentations and career-focused events.
