GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION: The Director of Talent Acquisition designs and implements streamlined processes for recruitment, hiring, and onboarding, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborating with both internal and external partners, the Director attracts talented, high-quality candidates to the College while also playing a key role in shaping and executing statewide recruitment strategies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

In coordination with the VP for Human Resources, directs the creation and implementation of effective strategies and processes to recruit talented prospective employees to the College.

Acts as a subject-matter expert for the College’s recruiting platform, applicant tracking system, and hiring processes, consulting with internal HR and leadership on various talent acquisition processes such as requisition creation, requisition management, candidate management, and sourcing best practices.

Consults with College leadership to define and implement solutions that meet the business objectives of their respective areas including strategies for talent attraction and recruitment.

Directs the end-to-end hiring process for Systems Office positions, ensuring a positive and efficient recruitment experience; this may include screening, scheduling, and managing the interview process on behalf of hiring managers.

Manages relationships with external search firms and recruiters, as necessary, to help recruit talent for hard-to-fill positions.  

Working with the HR systems team, manages the functionality of the Ivy Tech applicant tracking system. Responsibilities include data analysis and reporting, process creation/revision, system use, system training.

Develops and presents to managers tailored, relevant training on topics such as standardized hiring processes, best practices for improving the candidate experience, conducting effective interviews, and talent selection.

Leverages internal and external talent pipelines and recruiting tools such as Indeed and LinkedIn to expand applicant pools and drive candidate flow.

In collaboration with Talent Development, manages the onboarding process for newly hired employees and supports supervisors through onboarding process.

In collaboration with Marketing, drives the College’s recruitment presence and employer brand on Ivy Tech’s website and on social media platforms.

Creates regular communication to Systems Office employees to provide updates on newly hired employees and newly posted positions.

Remains current on industry trends, sourcing methodologies, and software platforms.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Bachelor’s degree required.

Must have a minimum of three to five years of professional employment recruitment experience.

Must be proficient with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word and Outlook).

Ability to initiate and maintain extensive networking relationships both within and outside of the College to assist with recruiting efforts.

Workday HCM experience preferred.

Must possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Must be results-oriented, problem-solving, consultative, creative, and collaborative in nature.

Must be well organized and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Must demonstrate ability to promote an environment that reflects the breadth of experiences and backgrounds represented by our students and employees where every individual feels respected and valued.

SALARY RANGE: The salary range is expected to be between $70,000 and $80,000, though it will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
