Assisting the STEM Lab Director with planning and executing programs for school aged student groups.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Experience in leading programming for students of various ages.
  • Able to manage groups of students in the out of school time environment.
  • Approach to work is one of that is supportive, nurturing, and inclusive for all.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changes in the work environment.
  • Have access to reliable transportation to commute, to and from work to program locations, and for activities (such as meetings, classes, and workshops in and out of the immediate area.)
  • An understanding of Ivy Tech’s mission and values.
  • Ability to critically assess situations, solve problems, work effectively under stressful situations.
  • Ability to understand and carry out varied instruction and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and exhibit excellent relationship building skills with all levels of employees, management, and students (families).
  • Other duties as logically assigned.

Physical Requirements

Roles requires standing, walking, leaning, bending, sitting. Must be able to lift 30lbs.

Hours: 28 hours a week

Hourly Range: $28.00- $32.00

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, in education, business or stem-related experience in teaching, training or facilitation as documented by attainment of academic credential or through documented work experience;

Experience:

One (1) year of experience in higher education and/or one (1) year in a supervisory role

Computer Skills:

Microsoft Office Suite;

Certifications & Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License
