The Ivy Cares Coordinator supports the daily operations and programming of Ivy Cares, ensuring students have access to essential resources that remove barriers to academic success. This position manages the campus food pantry, coordinates emergency aid support, and assists with seasonal initiatives such as holiday assistance programs, donation drives, and resource events. The coordinator works closely with students, faculty, and staff to deliver responsive, compassionate support services.

Major Responsibilities

Food Pantry Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the Ivy Cares Food Pantry
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and donation tracking
  • Coordinate food drives and pantry supply management
  • Ensure pantry organization, food safety, and student accessibility
  • Recruit and supervise student workers or volunteers supporting pantry operations

Emergency Aid & Student Support

  • Serve as a team member on the Emergency Aid review team
  • Assist students with emergency aid applications and resource navigation
  • Maintain confidential documentation and program records
  • Connect students to campus and community support services

Holiday & Seasonal Programming

Assist in coordinating Ivy Cares seasonal initiatives including:

  • Angel Tree / Holiday Assistance Program
  • Thanksgiving Basket Distribution
  • Trunk or Treat
  • Campus donation drives and resource campaigns

Responsibilities include:

  • Application management
  • Volunteer coordination
  • Event logistics and distribution planning

Program Coordination

  • Support Ivy Cares events and outreach initiatives
  • Assist with resource fairs and student engagement activities
  • Maintain program data and participation tracking
  • Help prepare reports demonstrating student impact and program outcomes

Administrative Support

  • Maintain accurate program records and student usage data
  • Support marketing and awareness efforts for Ivy Cares services

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of Ivy Cares.

Education and Experience

  • Education: Associate’s Required. Bachelor’s degree preferred in education or related field.
  • Experience: Two years of professional experience in a higher education setting, preferably in student support services.
