Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in math, with a focus on college-level algebra.
- Assist students with problem-solving, homework, test preparation, and understanding math concepts.
- Support academic integrity by modeling responsible student behavior.
- Help students build confidence and develop effective math study skills.
- Collaborate with instructors and staff to align tutoring with current coursework.
- Create or recommend supplemental learning materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions in TracCloud.
- Distribute and collect student feedback as directed.
- Refer students to other academic resources when appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
$15.00/hour - schedule is flexible
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a B or higher in College Algebra or equivalent math course.
- Ability to clearly explain algebraic concepts; familiarity with trigonometry and/or calculus is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, student-centered approach.
- Reliable, professional, and open to feedback.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
