Salary Range: $38,289-59,805 Compensation will be commensurate with the requirements of the position and the candidate’s relevant experience and education.

The Apprenticeship Program Manager acts as the liaison between Ivy Tech and its Building Trades and industry partners, overseeing the daily administration of apprenticeship programs across the service area. This includes facilitating enrollment and customizing course offerings to meet the educational requirements for apprentices’ upgrade training.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Academic Advising: Provide guidance to new and continuing apprenticeship students by aligning program curriculum with each student’s declared major and work schedule. Assist students in defining academic and personal goals each semester, and support them through the enrollment process. Resolve issues related to curriculum, textbooks, scheduling, or registration.
  • Curriculum Development & Coordination: Collaborate with Program Chairs and the Director of Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning to assess and develop curriculum that meets technical instruction requirements for company-sponsored apprenticeship programs. Coordinate academic scheduling to ensure courses align with apprentice shift rotations and trade schedules.
  • Program Expansion: Work with the Director of Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning to grow apprenticeship programming through outreach efforts, including career fairs, high school events, and employer information sessions. Travel across the service area to visit potential new partner companies.
  • Data Management: Utilize Excel to manage, maintain, and enter data in databases for all company-sponsored apprenticeship students and Building Trade apprentices.
  • Communication & Coordination: Maintain and update spreadsheets containing enrollment data, course grades, and graduation milestones in coordination with Building Trades contacts.
  • Grant Administration: Manage account functions related to grant initiatives by collecting, organizing, and entering data to meet contractual obligations. Prepare reports and documentation to demonstrate program outcomes, supporting continued funding and partnership agreements.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned that logically fall within the scope of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience in areas such as apprenticeship programs, enrollment and registration, adult education, or curriculum and programming.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Excel required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed for job responsibilities.
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
