Front Desk Staff 

Position Summary: 
The Front Desk Staff serves as the first point of contact for members, families, visitors, and partners. This role ensures a welcoming, safe, and organized environment while supporting daily administrative operations. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Greet and check in members, parents, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner 
  • Monitor entry and exit of members to ensure safety and accountability 
  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries 
  • Maintain accurate attendance and membership records 
  • Support registration, fee collection, and data entry as needed 
  • Communicate daily announcements and updates to staff and families 
  • Assist with distributing forms, newsletters, and program information 
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area 
  • Support staff with clerical tasks and special projects 
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times 

Requirements

Able to stand and/or walk up to 25% of the time. Able to sit up to 50% of the time. Able to view a computer monitor for 4-5 hours per day. Some travel may be required in a company or personal vehicle. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. 

Custodial Staff 

Position Summary: 
The Custodial Staff ensures that Club facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for youth, families, and staff. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, gym areas, and common spaces daily 
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors 
  • Empty trash and replace liners throughout the facility 
  • Restock restroom and cleaning supplies 
  • Maintain safe storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment 
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks and report repair needs promptly 
  • Support event setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, equipment) 
  • Follow health and safety guidelines at all times 
  • Ensure building security procedures are followed during opening/closing 

Requirements: 

Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand/walk for extended periods. Able to bend, stoop, or kneel as cleaning assignments require. Able to work on ladders as needed.  

Kitchen Staff 

Position Summary: 
Kitchen Staff prepares and serves nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with state and federal guidelines, supporting the health and well-being of Club members. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to approved menus 
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations 
  • Maintain accurate meal counts and required documentation 
  • Properly store food and monitor expiration dates 
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces 
  • Manage inventory and communicate supply needs 
  • Accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies as required 
  • Ensure safe food handling practices at all times 
  • Support special events and community meal programs when needed 

Requirements: 

Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods. 

Program Support Staff – Reading & Tutoring 

Position Summary: 
Program Support Staff assists with academic enrichment, focusing on literacy development, homework help, and tutoring support to promote educational success. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in reading and core subjects for children who are in elementary school 
  • Support literacy-building activities and structured reading programs 
  • Assist members with homework completion and comprehension 
  • Encourage positive study habits and time management skills 
  • Track student progress and communicate updates to supervisors 
  • Create engaging, age-appropriate learning activities 
  • Support collaboration with schools, teachers, and families 
  • Promote a positive and encouraging learning environment 
  • Reinforce Club expectations for behavior and participation 
  • Serve as a mentor and positive role model for youth 

Requirements: 

Able to stand and/or walk up to 75% of the time. Could require running and expended periods of standing and walking. Able to sit up to 25% of the time. Able to view a computer monitor daily. Some travel may be required in a company or personal vehicle. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. 

To Qualify for our Federal Work Study program students:

Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each semester.
• Students must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
• Students must have a current and completed FAFSA on file.
• Student must demonstrate financial need.

Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment
background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome. Official transcripts required upon hiring.
