What happens after you're accepted and need to enroll to Ivy Tech?
Even after you're received your acceptance letter, there are a few steps left before enrollment and we want to help you navigate those steps. The sooner you complete your enrollment steps, the sooner you'll get to pick the classes you want.
Let's break down that Enrollment Checklist.
Step 1: Apply. |
If you have not completed your application to Ivy Tech Community College, you can do so at IvyTech.edu/ApplyNow.

Step 2: Complete FAFSA |
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at FAFSA.gov to ensure you have access to financial aid. (School codes for all campuses is 009917) Want to know if you qualify for Financial Aid? Click HERE. |
Step 3: Set up your MyIvy Account |
Create a MyIvy account at MyIvy.IvyTech.edu. Student ID number (C Number) and username will be required. (Additional details provided with your acceptance packet.) Need help? We have the steps on this downloadable PDF. |
Step 4: Complete FYIvy Videos |
Complete the FYIvy video series designed to help you start out on the right foot. Visit MyIvy.IvyTech.edu to learn more. |
Step 5: Take your Knowledge Assessment (KA) or Submit Qualifying Documents |
The Knowledge Assessment is an optional placement tool. We want to make sure you start with the right classes! You can bypass KA by submitting SAT, ACT or PSAT scores; a high school transcript with a cumulative GPA of 2.6 or higher (after four semesters); or a college transcript showing previous college credit to meet assessment requirements. Step 6: Send your transcripts in |
If you have already earned college credit at another university or college and want to transfer them to Ivy Tech, submit an offcial college transcript to: Transcript Processing, 9301 E. 59th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46216 or if your institution participates in secure transcript exchange, you may also have them sent electronically by the institution to transcripts@ivytech.edu. |
Step 7: Schedule an appointment with your advisor |

Step 8: Register for classes |

Step 9: Set up payment |

Step 10: Set up your New Student Orientation |
Plan to attend a face-to-face orientation at your local campus. Talk to your advisor or visit IvyTech.edu/Orientation for more information. |
