The Ivy Tech Main Campus Testing Center, a member of the NCTA (National College Testing Association), administers Compass Placement exams, Psychological Services Bureau Exams for Nursing and Surgical Technology students, on-campus makeup exams, all exams for Internet classes proctored in Terre Haute, and exams for several face-to-face on-campus classes.  We also send out all Internet exams to proctors at other sites, and we proctor exams for students from other colleges and universities.

Exams for on-campus face-to-face classes may be taken at any Ivy Tech Testing site in the Terre Haute Region.  Locations and hours are listed below:

Terre Haute Main Campus Testing Center Hours** (Note: Office hours change depending on the academic calendar):

Monday - Thursday
7:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Friday
7:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Saturday
8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Do I need to make an appointment to take an exam?

No, just allow enough time to complete the exam before the center closes.  All exams will be started no later than one hour prior to closing.**

**Students must arrive at least one hour prior to closing in order to start a one hour exam.

If you are taking Terre Haute based Distance Education proctored exam, you must submit your proctor information to:  http://assignments.ivytech7.cc.in.us/testing.

Terre Haute Testing Center Rules

The following items are not allowed:

• Cell phones, PDA's, pagers, ipods
• Children and pets
• Loose fitting sweatshirts
• Hoodies or Jackets
• Hats

The following items are a must have:

• Picture ID
• Course Number/Section Number
• Instructor's Name
• Exam Name

Important things to know about Testing:

• Calculator memories will be cleared upon arrival and departure from the Testing Center
• You will be required to use the scratch paper provided
• Pencils will be made available for student use
• Calculators will be available for student use
• Any notes allowed during testing will be collected and returned to your instructor
• Lockers are available for the student's belongings
• Restroom breaks are not allowed during regular testing
