Q: How much does it cost to rent Oakley Auditorium or any other space available at Ivy Tech Community College - Wabash Valley?
A: We do not charge for the use of the Auditorium or any other space on campus.
Q: What types of activities or events qualify for use of Ivy Tech facilities?
A: Generally speaking, any event involving education or training qualifies for use of Ivy Tech facilities. Many social events such as receptions, concerts, etc. may also qualify. All events must receive prior approval from the College which reserves the right to refuse rental privileges for any event.
Q: How far in advance should reservation requests be made?
A: Ivy Tech requires that reservation requests be made at least two weeks in advance of the event. Since our facilities are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, we encourage you to make arrangements as early as possible.
Q: Is alcohol allowed at events?
A: No. Ivy Tech does not allow alcohol on campus. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate dismissal from the campus.
Q: Is catering available for events?
A: For events that are primarily educational and consistent with the College's mission, catering is available. While the College uses a preferred caterer for many qualifying events, you may use your own caterer provided it is pre-approved by Ivy Tech management and meets licensing and insurance requirements as specified in the facility rental agreement. For non-educational events, Ivy Tech offers no catering services. All outside caterers for such events must be pre-approved by Ivy Tech management. Food and drinks are not allowed in the Oakley Auditorium or in any of the computer labs.
Q: Does Ivy Tech provide personnel for set-up of events?
A: In most cases, yes. Our facilities staff will be on campus before, during, and after your event. We do ask, however, that you submit all set-up requirements with your rental application and that you exercise appropriate care for the facility during your event. Renters are responsible for any damage done to the facility.
Q: Does Ivy Tech provide personnel for multi-media and other technical assistance?
A: If the event qualifies as a related educational event, our technical support staff will provide mulit-media and other technical assistance related to Ivy Tech equipment. For all other events, please contact us at the number below.
Q: Where do we park for events at Ivy Tech?
A: Plenty of free parking is available for any event at Ivy Tech. There are several parking lots at the main campus and at the Center for Workforce Development.
