Ivy Tech Community College in partnership with the local Building Trades has a skills program that offers the student: on-the-job craft training, a technical academic curriculum core and general education studies. Upon completion, the student will hold a journeymen's card from their chosen field of specialty and an educational degree from Ivy Tech Community College. Application to these program must be made through the local Building Trade Unions.
Industry-Tailored Partnerships
Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana will work with your company to customize an apprenticeship program to meet your industry needs. These partnerships are based on the premise that tomorrow's workplace will require more skilled trade workers and that those workers must keep learning new technologies. Once individuals complete their training, they not only achieve their journeymen status, but they can also continue their education by pursuing an associate or technical degree.
