Office of the Registrar
The Office of the Registrar maintains an accurate, up-to-date registry of student data. This office is responsible for efficient and accurate record-keeping procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and college policies and procedures.
Requesting an Official
Transcript
You may order your official Ivy Tech transcript in writing (print the form*)or in person. Transcripts are confidential and may only be ordered by the student whose record is being requested. Transcript requests must include the full name used while attending Ivy Tech, birth date, Social Security number, daytime phone number, dates of attendance, and degrees received at Ivy Tech.
You must also provide the complete address to which the transcript will be sent. The Office of the Registrar reserves the right to request proof of identification before processing.
Note: mailed and faxed requests must include your signature.

You may also complete a transcript request form in person. Forms are available from the registrar's office at your local campus. Please allow one week to process transcript requests.
Registering for Classes
Students may register for courses in one of three ways:
- On the web
- By phone
- In person at the Registrar's Office
To register for courses on the web, log in to Campus Connect and click on
the Student Services tab to access course selection and registration.
To register for courses by phone, dial 1-877-IVYTECH (1-877-489-8324) to
access the STARS telephone registration system. Before dialing, make sure that
you have the call numbers handy for each class that you want to add or drop.
Call numbers can be found in printed class schedules, or on the web course
search.

for registration.
You must register and pay all assessed fees in order to attend class.
Registration is not complete until all fees are paid.
Courses begin to fill on the first day of registration, so register as early as possible. Registration start dates and times vary by campus, so check with your local campus for more information.
Grading
The grading system used by Ivy Tech consists of the letter grades A, B, C, D,
and F. Plus and minus grades are not used. Status codes may be used to indicate
a state or condition of a course on a student's record for which a grade
has not been awarded. Status codes include I (Incomplete), AU (Audit), and W
(Withdrawal). For more information on grading and status codes, including calculation

General Graduation Information
Ivy Tech awards five degrees to students who meet graduation requirements: the
Associate of Arts (AA), the Associate of Fine Arts (AFA), the Associate of
Science (AS), the Associate of Applied Science (AAS), and the Technical Certificate
(TC). General graduation policies may be found in the college
catalog on page
23. To find the curriculum requirements for a particular major and degree,
see the curriculum of record.
Due dates for various graduation-related activities vary by region. Check with
the Registrar's Office at your region for graduation-related questions.
