Constitution Day Activities at your Campus
Constitution Day activities include voter registration in Lamkin Hall from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Free copies of the constitution will be distributed. The History Department will have Constitution trivia questions posted on the campus televisions throughout the day. 1776 The Musical will be shown in the Student Commons from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This is an educational film that teaches us about the Constitution.

On September 11th, the American Red Cross will be in room 217 for a blood drive between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm.
On September 17th, view “A More Perfect Union: American Becomes a Nation,” a video about the Constitution and chronicles how America became a great nation. It will be in room 200 at noon and refreshments will be served.
Pocket Constitutions will be distributed to students. You can also view the large replicas of the U.S. Constitution on display.

On the Logansport campus, join the Student Government Association for a cookout to celebrate Constitution Day on September 17th! The cookout will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Logansport Mayor Ted Franklin will speak at noon in the Student Commons.
On the Peru campus, the Student Government Association will be hosting a voter registration drive on Monday, September 17th throughout the day. Stop by the table to register to vote!
On the Wabash campus, the Student Government Association will staff a table on Monday, September 17th to hand out copies to the constitution and provide light refreshments. Stop by to get your copy!

A voter registration drive will be held on September 17th in Johnson Hall Lobby from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Students, faculty, and staff will be able to register to vote by paper application or via online registration. Students will also have the opportunity to receive a free pocket Constitution, complete a Constitution Quiz or list to narrations of speeches/letters written concerning the Constitution.

Students, Faculty, and Staff are invited to enter the This I Believe Essay Contest. Submit brief personal essays that illustrate what the U.S. Constitution means to you. Essays should be submitted to the Office of Student Life (G5, Pfau Hall) by 4:00 pm on Friday, September 14th. Entries will be featured in an electronic publication.

Register to vote and pick up a pocket size copy of the Constitution on Monday, September 17th through Friday, September 21st in the Koch Student Center.
Stop by Carter Library and view two grand displays– one in the Library and one in a special display case in the Koch Student Center. The Library will also construct and feature a “Walking Timeline” (Entrance B, Main Building) which will be placed on the floor – in red, white, and blue – tracing the timeline of the Constitutional Convention.
Finally, be sure to read the Constitutional FACTOIDS that will be displayed on the plasma screens and on Campus Connect.
