Credit Through CLEP
What is CLEP?
CLEP is a series of examinations that allow individuals to earn
college credit for what they know, regardless of where they learned
it. Accepted by more than 2,900 colleges and universities, CLEP
is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the
U.S.
All exams are 90 minutes and are administered on computer. Students
receive instant score reports following completion of the exam.
With the exception of English Composition with Essay, the exams
are composed of multiple-choice questions. The English
section and a 45¬minute essay section, which must be typed.
Cost
Cost per exam is $60 plus a $15 administration fee.
I want to take a CLEP exam. What do I do now?
Visit student services at Ivy Tech Community College to register
for an exam. For more information on the content and format of any
of the CLEP exams, please visit www.collegeboard.com/clep.
Pre-registration is required a minimum of 1 week in advance.

You can earn up to 78 credits through CLEP examinations at Ivy Tech
Community College.
