The Office of Workforce & Economic Development (WED) is a flexible, responsive arm of the college designed to service the:

• Needs of Employers for well educated, technically prepared workers capable of successfully competing in the global marketplace.

• Needs of Professionals for upgrades in skills and knowledge necessary to stay abreast of a changing technological and leadership-skills environment.

• Needs of the Public for interesting and convenient lifelong learning opportunities that promote personal growth and enrichment for all ages.

WED focuses attention on the development of short-term, flexibly scheduled continuing education courses that fulfill the personal and business needs of southeastern Indiana. The curriculum is developed in consultation with experienced professionals from business, industry and academia to ensure that training is current, relevant and immediately applicable on the job.
