Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training
Through lecture, lab and clinical activities, you will develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential for providing basic care in nursing homes, hospitals, adult day health centers, assisted living facilities and even personal homes. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to sit for the Indiana State Department of Health Certification Exam. Credit Hours (5.0). Starting in August 2006!

Phlebotomy Technician
Through lecture, lab and clinical activities, you will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to serve as Phlebotomy Technician for a physician's office, hospital and clinic labs, insurance companies and home health agencies. The primary responsibility of a Phlebotomist is to obtain blood specimens from clients for analysis. Upon completion of this course, you will be eligible to sit for the American Society of Clinical Pathologists Certification Exam. This nationally recognized credential is highly valued by employers and will earn you six (6) college credits.

First Responder
Provides students with information necessary to recognize emergency situations, know the proper course of action with different types of emergencies and apply appropriate first aid. Addresses CPR and handling of victims of hazardous material accidents. Five (5) college credits. Starting March, 2006 at Madison

Advanced EMT
Starting August, 2006 in Madison

ServSafe Sanitation Certificate
As of January 1st , 2005, All food establishments are required to have a certified food handler on staff. Course topics include sanitation management, food safety hazards, factors that affect food borne illness, personal hygiene, use and calibration of temperature measuring instruments and much more. Upon completion, The ServSafe Certification Exam will be given.

CPR Training
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier mask device and oxygen); use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBA) for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital.
