| Welcome
to the Ivy Tech Community College Southeast Library Site!
We're committed to providing quality services that fit the needs
of today's students.
Mission Statement
The primary mission of the library at Ivy Tech is to provide access
to materials, information, and services that supports and supplements
the educational mission of the College. The library's primary users
are students, faculty, and staff at Ivy Tech. The library staff
serves as a source of instruction and assistance in the use of its
resources and services.
The library is open to the general public. The Ivy Tech Library
works cooperatively with all the libraries in Jefferson County to
provide access to a broad range of library services and resources.
Information Resources
The library has a wealth of information resources: over 8,000 books,
DVDs and videos; over 60 databases including magazine, journal and
newspaper indexes, electronic books and reference sources; over
120 hardcopy magazine, journal and newspaper titles; some textbooks;
and reserve materials.
Computer Access
Public computers provide easy access to all of the library’s
electronic resources, including the Internet, an online library
catalog and Virtual Library pages. Due to limited number of computer
work stations, students and faculty working on course related assignments
will have priority of use over the general public when all stations
are in use.
Ivy Tech Virtual Library
Online access to a world of information is available to students
and faculty via the Virtual Library web page. From this Internet
page, students and faculty have access in the library (or from remote
sites using Campus Connect)
to all of the electronic resources provided by the college.
