What is VBrick?
VBrick is the software that allows faculty to display VHS tapes in the classroom. Madison classrooms do not have VHS players; VBrick is the only means of showing VHS tapes.

Once a VHS is loaded onto VBrick, faculty simply go to a website, click on the video, and it plays. The video plays full screen through the projector along with the audio. The video plays a smaller version on the instructor desk monitor that includes the typical VHS controls such as play, stop, pause, FF…

How do I get a VHS tape onto the VBrick system?
Faculty need to take the VHS tape to the library one week in advance. Library personnel will load the VHS tape onto the VBrick system. You will need to complete a short form that can be filled out in advance or in the library when dropping off the VHS. Be sure to let the library know if you are a first time user.

How to I access the VBrick System?

  1. VIEW IN A COMPUTER LAB ONLY!! (UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE)
  2. Access VBRICK here: http://10.108.208.14/ or open Internet Explorer and type 10.108.208.14 in the address bar. If you would like a shortcut on your desktop for VBrick, please stop at the window of room 1255.
  3. Click on Video Library.
  4. Click on the folder of choice.
  5. Locate the video, and click once. Video will start to play on right.
  6. To close, click on red X.
