Started
Follow the steps below to get started on your distance education
course. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact
Distance Education personnel.
ATTENTION: Access eLearning through Campus Connect.
Log onto Campus Connect and select the 'Courses' tab.

We are excited to see that you have registered
for an Internet class with the Ivy Tech Madison campus. There
are a number of things you need to complete prior to the first
day of classes. We recommend that you print this page and
keep it handy during the term.
For an explanation on the delivery
method of distance courses, select one of the following:

Step 1 - Ordering Your
Textbooks |
| You
must order your textbooks so that they will arrive PRIOR to
the start of class. Follow the instruction on ordering
textbooks to order your books from one of our bookstores
or use the ISBN number, title and author information to order
the bookstore from your local campus bookstore or another
bookstore of your choosing. If you have questions, please
refer to our textbook ordering "Frequently
Asked Questions" Page.
If you are purchasing your books using financial
aid monies, you must have your local business office complete
the financial aid authorization form found on ordering
textbooks. Purchases being made with financial aid monies
will not be shipped until after the financial aid charge period
begins at the Campus Bookstore.

Step
2 - Log in to Campus Connect |
| Go the
the Campus Connect site here: http://cc.ivytech.edu/
and follow onscreen instructions to gain your username and
password.
Click on "What's My Username?" After
supplying required information, this link will look up your
username.
Click on "What's
My Password?" After supplying required information, this
link will allow you to reset your password

If for some reason you receive an error message "account
disabled", contact
Distance Education personnel. We'll need your full name
and date of birth. |

Step
3 - Verify your Personal Information |
|
When you register for a class at Ivy Tech for
the first time you are automatically given a Campus Connect
email account. This is the email address that instructors
will use to communicate with you.
Note: Campus Connect email storage space is
15MB |

Step 4 - Access eLearning through Campus
Connect. |
|
You
will log into your course, on a weekly (or more) basis, at
https://cc.ivytech.edu/.
Go to the 'Courses' tab to view your courses. This is a secured
web site and requires that you log in using a username and
password. We STRONGLY recommend that you bookmark this page
or add it to your favorites so that you do not have to re-enter
the address each time you visit your course.

Step 5 - Read
the Online Orientation Materials |
|
If you have not taken an Internet class with
us (or another Ivy Tech campus) before, you need to become
familiar with the eLearning
system. The best way to do this is to complete the Online
Orientation course. You'll see the Online Orientation listed
under "My Courses" in the middle or on the left of your screen.
Be sure that you select the Online Orientation from the "My
Courses" box and not from the Announcements box.
Complete the activities in the Online Orientation.
(Please note that Online Orientation is not a requirement
- it is provided to allow you an opportunity to become familiar
with the eLearning system.

Term
Calendar and Fee Information |
|
You will not have access to course materials
prior to the semester begin date. Instructors are not required
to make courses available to students until this date. If
a course is not in your course list by 5:00 p.m. on the semester
begin date, please contact
Distance Education personnel. Please include your first
and last name and your username (see step 2 above), as well
as the course or courses that are not listed in your course
list.DO NOT SEND YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY
NUMBER VIA EMAIL
TUITION AND FEES MUST
BE PAID PRIOR TO THE FIRST DAY OF CLASSES.If you do
not pay your fees prior to the first day of class, you may
be removed from one or all of your classes for non-payment.
Any graded work done up to the point
at which you are removed from the course may have to be completed
again if you are removed for non-payment. You must work with
your local campus to be sure your fees are paid or that other
payment arrangements have been made for your account.
