Getting Started

Follow the steps below to get started on your distance education course. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact Distance Education personnel.

ATTENTION: Access eLearning through Campus Connect. Log onto Campus Connect and select the 'Courses' tab.

Welcome

We are excited to see that you have registered for an Internet class with the Ivy Tech Madison campus. There are a number of things you need to complete prior to the first day of classes. We recommend that you print this page and keep it handy during the term.

For an explanation on the delivery method of distance courses, select one of the following:

Step 1 - Ordering Your Textbooks

You must order your textbooks so that they will arrive PRIOR to the start of class. Follow the instruction on ordering textbooks to order your books from one of our bookstores or use the ISBN number, title and author information to order the bookstore from your local campus bookstore or another bookstore of your choosing. If you have questions, please refer to our textbook ordering "Frequently Asked Questions" Page.

If you are purchasing your books using financial aid monies, you must have your local business office complete the financial aid authorization form found on ordering textbooks. Purchases being made with financial aid monies will not be shipped until after the financial aid charge period begins at the Campus Bookstore.
Contact Financial Aid for the date.

Step 2 - Log in to Campus Connect

Go the the Campus Connect site here: http://cc.ivytech.edu/ and follow onscreen instructions to gain your username and password.

Click on "What's My Username?" After supplying required information, this link will look up your username.

Click on "What's My Password?" After supplying required information, this link will allow you to reset your password

HAVING TROUBLE??
If for some reason you receive an error message "account disabled", contact Distance Education personnel. We'll need your full name and date of birth.

Step 3 - Verify your Personal Information

When you register for a class at Ivy Tech for the first time you are automatically given a Campus Connect email account. This is the email address that instructors will use to communicate with you.

Note: Campus Connect email storage space is 15MB

Step 4 - Access eLearning through Campus Connect.

You will log into your course, on a weekly (or more) basis, at https://cc.ivytech.edu/. Go to the 'Courses' tab to view your courses. This is a secured web site and requires that you log in using a username and password. We STRONGLY recommend that you bookmark this page or add it to your favorites so that you do not have to re-enter the address each time you visit your course.

Step 5 - Read the Online Orientation Materials

The best way to do this is to complete the Online Orientation course. You'll see the Online Orientation listed under "My Courses" in the middle or on the left of your screen. Be sure that you select the Online Orientation from the "My Courses" box and not from the Announcements box.

Complete the activities in the Online Orientation. (Please note that Online Orientation is not a requirement - it is provided to allow you an opportunity to become familiar with the eLearning system.

You can also visit our "Frequently Asked Questions" page for more info on using eLearning.
