If you received a BRIGHT YELLOW postcard
in the mail, you've arrived at the right place! This letter of
information is for students who are taking courses from South
Bend, Elkhart or Warsaw. Your schedule should indicate a course
section number of 11B, 12B, 13B, 11R or 12R.
Your course will become available online no earlier than Monday,
August 20th by going to http://cc.ivytech.edu.
You are able to log into Campus Connect at any time but you WILL
NOT see your course in Blackboard until Monday, August 20th.. Only
contact us if it is after Monday, August 20th.
If you registered on August 15th or later, you may not see your
courses on eLearning immediately. Allow up to 48 hours after you're
in the registration system for your courses to show on eLearning.
Look for contact instructions
from your instructor as soon as you login to your course
in eLearning. They may require
you to email them or post on a message board during the first
week of class. If you fail to follow their instructions by
the end of the second week of the semester, you may be dropped
from the course.
Please consider the following requirements of the course,
and be sure you want to continue.
Distance education courses require more work and attention rather
than less from its students. You have no live campus classroom with
other students, but your instructor will be asking you to contact
him/her via email and other Internet functions such as discussion
boards and chat rooms, or by phone to answer questions. We strongly
suggest that you have a home computer before enrolling in an Internet
course, but if you do not have a home computer, you may use the
computers in the Ivy Tech library.
1. Book ordering information is found here: ORDER
YOUR BOOKS.
Your financial aid information or credit card will be accepted.
2. Many Internet courses require use of word processing programs
or special software in addition to Blackboard in order to complete
the class. Check on those requirements EARLY so that you know what
to expect. This link has all the information
you'll need.
3.We recommend that you orient yourself to the Blackboard/eLearning
system if you've not used it before. For more information on the
system or for TECHNICAL assistance on any of the systems look at
the SOS Helpdesk.
