SOUTH BEND, IND. (March 6, 2007) – Beginning with the summer 2007 semester, Ivy Tech Community College-North Central’s Criminal Justice Program will offer an internship in statistics and data analysis.
According to William G. Hinkle, Criminal Justice Program chairperson, “During the internship, students will be introduced to basic statistical techniques and research methods. They will gain the expertise to analyze all types of data, making them invaluable to policy makers, private businesses and public institutions as well as individuals in need of professional assessment for personal and/or family-related problems.”
Ivy Tech-North Central, with campuses in South Bend, Elkhart and Warsaw, offers associate of science and associate of applied science degrees in Criminal Justice. The Criminal Justice Program prepares professionals to work in a wide variety of both public and private criminal justice facilities and service providers. Students acquire an in-depth understanding of the various psychological, social and environmental needs of clients served by these facilities.
