Earn college credit while you’re still in high schoolYou can get a head start on college by earning college credits while you are still in high school! Save time—and your parents’ money—as you move ahead at a faster pace and gain opportunities for in-depth training in your chosen field.

High school-based credit: Enroll in selected career and technical courses taught either at your high school or at Ivy Tech by high school teachers. Earn “dual credit,” or credit that applies toward both high school and Ivy Tech graduation requirements. Cost: No tuition or fee charges beyond the book fee required by your high school. Contact: your high school guidance counselor.

College-based credit: Enroll in an Ivy Tech course taught by an Ivy Tech instructor. Earn college credit and, sometimes, credit toward your high school diploma. Cost: Ivy Tech tuition and fees, the lowest among public institutions in the state. Contact: the admissions office of the Ivy Tech campus you plan to attend.
