| Applications & deadline
Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can fill out an application at anytime during the school year. However, it is recommended that you apply at least 6-8 weeks before the semester in which you intend to enroll. You only have to apply once per academic year.
To be considered for state financial aid, your 2007-08 FAFSA must be RECEIVED by the federal processor on or before March 10th of each year. This is a received by date and no longer a postmark date. You can file the FAFSA on-line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov or a paper FAFSA via mail. It's up to you to make sure that the federal processor RECEIVES your FAFSA on or before March 10th. Paper filers need to factor in mailing time since all that matters is that the paper or on-line FAFSA is RECEIVED on or before March 10th by the federal processor. File as soon after January 1 as possible. The State financial aid deadline does not affect Pell grant or student loan eligibility. This is the priority deadline for the following aid programs.
If you are eligible to receive financial aid, you will be sent an electronic Ivy Tech Financial Aid award letter to your Campus Connect account..

Financial Aid Deadlines:
It is recommended that you submit your FAFSA at least 6-8 weeks before the semester in which you plan to enroll. You can apply for financial aid by submitting a FAFSA at anytime during the school year. However, for each academic year, the previous March 10 is the deadline to be considered for state grant assistance and Ivy Tech grant funds (for example, for the 2007-2008 school which runs August 2007– August 2008, the FAFSA is due March 10, 2007). It is strongly recommended that you apply by March 10 each year.
