Making the Connection
Part of the college experience includes not only being engaged in the learning process, but being involved with fellow students, faculty and staff beyond the classroom. Research indicates that students who are involved in co-curricular activities outside the classroom:
Achieve higher grade point averages.
Are more likely to graduate.
Are more likely to graduate on time.
Are happier with their overall college experience.
Being involved on campus will enrich your college experience by allowing you to engage with fellow students to talk about academics, career goals, common life experiences, challenges in balancing family/school/work, differences, and commonalities among your peers.
