What do I need to do to be successful in class?
College is a different learning process than what we remember or experienced in high school. In the college environment, student learning is more self directed. Students must be engaged in the learning process and assume responsibility for their learning. Some suggestions to help support your learning include the following:
Showing up on time
Attend all classes
Read the course syllabus
Participate in classroom discussions
Recognize it will be challenging
Turn assignments in on time
Learn your instructors name
Ask you instructor questions
Check your Campus Connect/email regularly
