Lung Tuition Scholarship

A gift to the Elkhart community from Mervin and Dorothy Lung enables Elkhart County residents who attend Ivy Tech Community College's Elkhart campus to cut the cost of college tuition by about 35 percent. Mervin Lung is the founder and CEO of Patrick Industries. The scholarship program benefits any qualifying Elkhart County resident studying at the college's Elkhart campus. The program will apply $35 per credit hour to the $95.00 per credit hour cost of tuition. This will reduce the cost of one three-credit course from $325.00* to just $220.00*.

Full time students enrolled in 15 credit hours will reduce the cost of one semester of college from $1,465.00* to $940.00*, a savings to that student of $525 each semester. Any Elkhart County resident not eligible to receive federal or state grant funds that cover the cost of college, or not receiving other tuition assistance qualifies for the program.
