The Associate of Science in General Studies (GNS) program is designed for students planning to transfer to Indiana University South Bend.  All courses in the GNS program are transferable to IUSB.  The GNS degree requires successful completion of sixty (60) credit hours.  A grade of C or higher is required for a course to transfer.  Transferable general education credits from other colleges or universities may count towards the GNS degree.

 

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

12 Credits              Language Arts and Communications—ENG 111-English Composition (3) and COM 101-Public Speaking (3) are required.

12 Credits              Science and Mathematics—a minimum of 3 credits of mathematics and 3 credits of science are required.

12 Credits              Social Science and Humanities

24 Credits              Transferable Electives—additional courses in the above areas or transferable professional/technical courses with advisor approval.  Approved technical courses are listed in the chart below.
