| GraduationA
graduation ceremony is held in May of each year.
You are eligible for graduation when requirements for graduation
and certification have been fulfilled. When you begin your final
semester prior to graduation, you must complete an application for
graduation. The application will be certified by your program advisor
and forwarded to the Registrar's Office, where the appropriate diploma
will be prepared. Graduating students may be asked to participate
in outcomes assessments. To graduate with an associate in science
degree, an associate in applied science degree or a technical certificate,
you must:
Attain a minimum grade point average of 2.00 in the required technical
and general education courses;
Earn 15 credits as a regular student of Ivy Tech, rather than by
test-out or other means of advanced placement;
Successfully complete the required number of credits;
Satisfy all financial obligations due the college;
Satisfy program accreditation standards that may have additional
requirements.
Honors recognition at the commencement ceremony is based on the
student's cumulative GPA from the Fall semester. Actual honors recognition
will be recorded on the student's academic transcript posted with
the degree earned.
