Dual Credit
If you’re a high school junior or senior, consider taking advantage
of our dual credit program. It allows you to simultaneously enroll
at Ivy Tech and a secondary school to earn college and high school
credit at the same time.
Here are the eligibility requirements:
* You must be a high school junior or senior.
* Submit an admissions application and signed course reservation form.
* Meet readiness requirements and any course prerequisites.
* Enroll in courses-only status, though the credits you earn may apply
toward degree programs offered at the Ivy Tech campus issuing the
credits.
* Earn a "B" grade or better to receive Ivy Tech credit
for the course.
There is no cost to high school students who take a dual credit course
taught by a high school teacher. However, regular tuition applies
to courses taught on Ivy Tech campuses. High school juniors and seniors
may earn up to 15 credit hours in technical coursework through the
program.
Not every high school offers dual credit opportunities with Ivy Tech.
To find out about options in your area, check with your high school
counselor or Joe Wayne, Director
of K-12 Iniatives at the college. |
