In most program areas, students can attend day or evening classes on a full-time or part-time basis. Financial assistance is available to qualified students.

Admission Procedures for New Students1. Contact the college by telephone, e-mail or in person for information. (please call for an appointment, if possible).

2. Choose a program of study and determine the level of training you wish to complete.

3. The Compass test is given in the Testing and Learning Center, on a walk-in basis. (The Testing Center is closed on holiday weekends.)

Students may acquire sample question packets by visiting ACT's web site: http://www.act.org/compass/sample/index.html. Students who do not have internet access can obtain sample placement questions via the internet at the Ivy Tech Ogle Virtual Library or any other Public Library in their geographic area.

If you need special assistance to take the Compass test please contact Mary Springer, Assistant Dean of Student Life at 812.246.3301, extension 4116 in advance.
