Ivy Tech is the Louisville region’s most affordable educational choice, and through our reciprocity agreements with the state of Kentucky, residents of Jefferson, Oldham, Bullitt and Trimble counties in Kentucky can attend Ivy Tech at the in-state tuition rate. In 2008, Ivy Tech signed an agreement with Indiana University to allow more credits from Ivy Tech to transfer, making Ivy Tech a solid choice for students who plan to continue with their education and receive a four-year degree.

Ivy Tech Southern Indiana is a local campus, with small, intimate classes and friendly staff members who often know students by name. But we also have the resources of a much larger institution. The campus is part of the Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana system, which is Indiana’s community college, and is the second largest college in Indiana with more than 100,000 students enrolling each year on 23 separate campuses. Ivy Tech Southern Indiana enrollment surpassed 4,300 in 2008, an all-time enrollment record.

To help meet the demands of our growing student body, Ivy Tech Southern Indiana campus has an ambitious, 20-year plan for the future. The campus master plan calls for a new classroom building and improvements to the existing main campus building. Construction on that facility is slated to begin this fall. Future plans call for a nature preserve and other campus enhancements, all thanks to a generous donation of land that helped secure the future of the college in Southern Indiana.
